Why do you believe in Democracy?
For quite sometime, there has been a lot of debate that has challenged the core values of America. We have always hailed ourselves as “the land of the free and the home of the brave” but, to many people, our freedom has been far from that which so many before us fought bravely for. If you asked most people, you would probably see a consensus that there has been too much freedom within our government. Too much freedom you ask? Do we actually have too much of the founding element in our country? I would have too agree that in some ways yes, we do.

So with the scarred image of Democracy as it stands today, why should we believe in it? I believe in democracy because I believe in the fall of man. While, I think, many believe because of the opposite. Mankind is so fallen that no man can be trusted with unchecked power over his fellow man. Democracy, as it stands today, has a fleeted from this position.
