The problem with relationships today is that most people cannot have a genuine, true relationship with someone.

We live in a fast-paced convenience-focused world and a lot of times we let that transfer over to our relationships. It’s not anymore about love or character or meaning. Relationships have been transformed and belittled to fit in just perfectly with our lifestyles: fast-paced and reckless. There is no place for nurturing because that takes time and effort. There is no communication because with that comes sacrifice, vulnerability, and sometimes shame. True relationships come with a price and for most people convenience outweighs that price.

If God ever intended us to pick our mates out of convenience, if it ever had to do with “the right timing” then I hope that my timing is NEVER right. Because I want someone to love me for who I am, not because at this point in time I was convenient.
