Short Truths
*For those of you who want something to chew on something but do not have time to read a whole post, this is where I will put little tidbits of knowledge, stuff that I think is interesting, and all that jazz.
- I once read that the Lord often allows somebody to teach a subject because he or she desperately needs it. Your relation to the subject can be the most powerful thing about it for most people.
- People often wonder where they can turn for help. There are two basic alternatives: the Bible and the answers people devise.
- A relationship only becomes a relationship when you fall in love with the friendship. When the friendship is all that matters. When the presence of the other person is the heartbeat that keeps the “US” alive. Don’t love the relationship more than the person.
- What you believe is your reality.
- Belief produces attitude, attitude: behavior. -Steve Munds
- In the Bible, don’t read only what you believe, but believe what you read and the understanding will come.
- A believers life is made up of building and battling.
- To whom much is given, much is required.
- Don’t hope that Jesus is something, know that He is everything.
- He must become greater. I must become less.
- We have to fight hard the feeling that success is determined by having a good reputation among a wide audience.
- The man who has not been humbled in the presence of God will never be a worshiper of God at all.
- His grace + My flaws = Fuel for worship
- Pastor your church with the revelation that you will stand before God not your congregation.
- God does NOT make you sick to teach you something!
